SUMMARY A series of 12 consecutive patients with epidural hematoma operated during 2004 - 2005. Eight patients had a Glasgow coma scale (GCS) 3-8, three patients had a GCS 9-13, and one had a GCS 14-15. Al¡ patients underwent surgery immediately; none of them die during surgery. Ten patients had recovered fully. I believed that time of brain compression, the presence of fracture, early diagnosis through CT scan and an immediately operation let us approach the "Zero Mortality".
