ABSTRACT A case of a 16 years old female who entered to Emergency of Hospital Viedma with the antecedent of being injured by a knife on left thorax. During the intemation a pleurosthomy was done and we notified the presence of milky liquid, it was send it to pathology and reports high cholesterol and thriglicerids. A thoracotomy shows thoracic duct section, a double ligature was done, and the evolution was satisfactory
