The By Pass Gastric is an surgery used or developed to reduce the excess of weight in obesity patients. The patients conduct the operation to avoid potential risk caused by the obesity and to improve the quality of life. This operation is made in patients with an weight excess greater than 50% and between the ages of 15 to 74 years. It is an operation that consists of reducing to the size of the stomach, dividing it in two parts, a great one and a small one; the patient will use the smaller part of stomach, therefore, when eating, she/he will feel satiety with very little amount of food. The capacity to consume food is satisfied allowing his/her weight to low. The two parts of the stomach are separated by titanium staples and a gastric band that keeps the stomach from distending and regulate consumed foods. This band material is the silastic. The rest of the stomach is called excluded stomach, this part of the stomach doesn't receive food, and this does not create risk of cancer; it is demonstrated with studies made by biopsies. "After the surgery the results can be seen until a month later and gradually the person will have a normal weight in a year", When losing the excess of weight the patients reduce the illness associated to obesity, diabetics wont require insulin, it will improves hypertension states stop the apnea of the sleep, among other factors.
