Abstract

47 people of both genders between 15 and 84 years old are studied, in the Community of Chapaco of Ichilo Province (Santa Cruz) between August and December 2014, to which diabetes is diagnosed through test oral tolerance glucose and glycosyla-ted hemoglobin. Analyses were performed using blood glucose reagent Wiener and glycosylated hemoglobin reagent of Stambio. It is hyperglycemia in 27% of the participants with predominance in the female gender. With proof of oral glucose tolerance, 19% of the people were found to be with Pre-diabetes with the prevalence in females. The glycosylated hemoglobin test of the 47 patients, 46% were found to be controlled diabetics in both sexes.
