The present research paper to verify the lipid-lowering effects of chia seed was randomly performed in 10 individuals whose ages were from 25 to 54 years old, the most common being the ages from 49 to 54 years old. The prevailing gender was female. Of the patients who were treated with chia seeds (30g) for 4 weeks, lipid-lowering activity of chia seed -69,40and -71,40% activity was achieved. Of the study participants, males had higher treatment effectiveness of chia seed. An efficacy test was made ("T" test), which proved that chia seed contributes significantly reduce triglyceride levels in patients with hypertriglyceridemia
