We tried to demonstrate the importance of bioindicators, like lichens, in the biological control of the environment. Lichens are sensitive to air pollution, so their study as bioindicators generates interest. The work shows presence of lichens and the relation with degrees of contamination. Lichens are proposed to apply industrial and vehicular air pollu-tants and gases produced in chaqueo period for use as a biological indicator of air pollution.
