It addresses the acute diarrheal diseases through the implementation of the strategy of Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI), which includes an education componentto respect, care for all children in the health service, regardless its severity. It notes that one of the main problems associated with increased severity of illness in children under 5 years who presented to health services is lack of knowledge of parents and other caregivers of children on the warning signs diarrheas in indicating that the child should be seen by health personnel. The delay in the query may cause worsening of the disease, and may require the child to be treated at a hospital, or even lack of attention may cause death. It stresses that it is essential to know the warning signs when a child is sickto be immediately admitted to a health service.
