Abstract In the present work, the livestock economic potential in the municipality of Jesús de Machaca was identified, which generates 23 million Gross Production Valué, where the livestock sector is identified as the first sector, contributing with 90.44% (20,508,048, 97 Bs) and the second most important sector is agriculture with 5.92%. Regarding the most relevant producís in the livestock sector, bovine milk stands out with 30.3% (6,859,676.24 Bs), sheep with 25.4% (4,614,573.76 Bs.), cattle 20.4% (4,614,573.76 Bs.) and llamas with 11.0% (2,503,461.32 Bs.). Regarding its production, we found 6,653 head of cattle, and in the communities with the highest production, Kalla Baja and Sullkatiti Titiri stand out.
