Abstract The potato is a main product in the diet of the Bolivian population, it has a good source of micronutrients, and it also contains antioxidants. In Bolivia, the potato is important for several reasons: its genetic diversity, importance as a food, its cultural role and income generation. The present work has the purpose of systematizing the investigations carried out in the last twenty years. The main objective of the present work was: a) To carry out the systematization of the research works carried out in the potato crop (Solanum tuberosum), sponsored by the Faculty of Agronomy of the U.M.S.A., for another context; b) Analyze and study the thesis and supervised works carried out in potato according to the thematic axis: Research, transformation / added valué and local knowledge. The methodology is based on the following stages: Planning, compilation and analysis and interpretation of the investigations in the potato crop (Solanum tuberosum). Regarding the results obtained: According to the presence of documents, they show that the consent of research works, a total of 87 studies carried out in the potato crop (Solanum tuberosum) were presented. In relation to the three thematic axes, mention that there is the thematic research axis; A total of 80 studies were registered, which corresponds to 92% of the total; local knowledge, 7 research that represents 8%. The following categories were considered, in improvement 50 studies were carried out, representing 58%; in entomology 6 studies that represents 7%; in economics 7 researches that represents 8%, in photopathology 6 studies, that represents 7%; climate change 3%; mixed crops 3% and 5 in irrigation that represents 6%. Regarding the investigations carried out per year, in 2018 12 studies were analyzed, in 2015 and 2013 10 investigations were carried out, therefore, 2008, 2007 and 2000 presented a smaller number of studies.
