ARI, Marina. The "other" women of the Sisa-katarista rebellion (1781-1782). Historia [online]. 2017, n.38, pp. 67-93. ISSN 2519-0253.

The figures of the Indian leader Tupac Katari's wife and sister, protagonists of the Indian rebellion of 1781-1782 in the Qullasuyu under Spanish power, shone in their own light and have become referents for us, Indian women. But they are only part of a group of Indian women who fought in the rebellion alongside male fighters, despite their participation, goals and thinking developed in the Indian libertarian their struggle has been ignored by the majority of the historians of the Rebellion. The situation of the Indian women on the plain who were held in the besieged city of La Paz, or those facing Hispanic aggression in the provinces and sectors where the rebellion was developed, is not known either. The present research intends to contribute with new elements of knowledge presenting the situation of the Indian women during this rebellion.
