TERESA RAMOS, María. Daily Life in the City of La Paz during the Federal War. Historia [online]. 2017, n.37, pp. 155-181. ISSN 2519-0253.

The Federal War of the late nineteenth century is an episode in Bolivian history that has received diverse analyses and studies. The city of La Paz, one of the political focal points, was affected by the war in different ways. One of them was in terms of daily life, a the-me largely forgotten in our historiography. Using the press of the period, especially the paper El Comercio, it is possible to grasp the impact of the Federal War on the city of La Paz and the daily life of its inhabitants as the conflict unfolded. It is also possible to note that this impact continued to be felt after the war, and even up to the present.

Palavras-chave : Federal War; daily life; La Paz; journalistic sources; urbanism; Red Cross; manners.
