ANGULO ROMO, Karen Cristina.   Family business a topic in development. Literary review  . Oikos Polis [online]. 2016, vol.1, n.1, pp. 175-198. ISSN 2415-2250.

Abstract: Family businesses represent an important role in the generation of wealth at national and international level, furthermore, these businesses are a source of employment. They also form an essential part of economic and productive structures, distinguishing themselves from the other kinds of organizations through three principal factors: property, business and family. Things like succession, property, family, values and organizational culture are strongly linked to family businesses; however, despite the importance of said organizations, there are very few, relatively recent or very shallow research about the subject. Knowing that there are still knowledge gaps which hinder the understanding of these types of organizations raises concerns to carry on with these organizations. Thus, the present document aims to show the literary review about this matter to highlight the state of the art on the subject and detect new research areas.
