This work address the journalistic quality in Bolivia and how it develops. After a media monitoring, we seek to study the behavior of the media in the structuring and dissemination of news. It is possible to demonstrate that there is a differentiated representation of political events between Página Siete and La Razón, mediated by the capitalist system, through the type and origin of the publicity of both media. To demonstrate the differentiated representation, semiotic elements of the political news were analyzed, and the discourse that is intended to be issued. The importance of the subject lies in thefact that this difference in discourse affects the journalistic quality and, therefore, the critical capacity of the people, in addition to polarizing public opinion.
