    Abstract

MONTANO ORTIZ, Edson Guillermo. Nosótrico: A decolonial perspective on groups communication. J. Com. Soc. [online]. 2018, vol.7, n.7, pp. 87-104. ISSN 2412-5733.

Communication is a process of exchange of signals that, when effective and affective, can generate harmony and empathy. However, when the Spanish Colony came, much of the communicational wisdom of the nations and indigenous peoples was diluted because of the castilianization. That is why, in this document, we propose to rethink communication from the nosóstrico, from the collective, as opposed to the increasingly recalcitrant individualism. At home, and more at school, emphasis has been placed on the ability to express ourselves and on orality, but little or no "knowing how to listen"; a capacity that in many occasions is reduced to a passive and contemplative attitude.

Keywords : Communication; nosótrico; decolonial; language; listening.
