The arrival of the "Korean wave" to Latin America has produced different phenomena that makes appear a new form of relationship between two seemingly very distant cultures. This paper has the general object of delineating the symbolic space or frontier where the contact of these two different cultures is possible. Attending this aim, the work is centered in a comparison of senses that can be reconstructed in two specific products, a Korean dorama and a Mexican telenovela, only as these products can be understood like cultural texts. The proposed analysis allows indicating sense tensions, and similar constructions, which allow these two cultures to "talk".
