Resumen
BERFORDT VILLA, Aida Andrea. The role of the media in the law: An analysis based on the operation of the media system in a democratic society. J. Com. Soc. [online]. 2018, vol.6, n.6, pp. 103-137. ISSN 2412-5733.
The mass media build reality, but not reality that forces consensus. The media allow the illusion of a reality accessible to knowledge, stimulated by social and cognitive systems. The media promotes modes of interpretation, ways of understanding and deciphering the problems of a society, ways of understanding the events that surround us. The one who is more or less informed, is competent to make a decision and can be considered morally responsible. This is where the right to information is vital, together with freedom of expression. This indirectly serves the media system to stimulate itself permanently, taking a look at the social environment.
