This document is an academic approach to the state of opinion journalism. The research includes the quantitative analysis of 1.300 opinion articles and 477 editorials from the newspapers La Razón and Página Siete published between January 1 and June 30, 2017. The opinion column and the editorials are a close representation of what a society is like and what are the issues to be resolved. What topics are being discussed? Who gives their opinion ? ¿and how many women write? are the central elements of this research. It also establishes the topics that capture the attention of the editorials in both newspapers.
