ABSTRACT The review article aims to identify what is known and what is missing to inquire the research and production ofknowledge in the community educational practice in the Superior Schoolsfor Teachers Training. For the writing ofthe article, primary, secondary and tertiary sources were used, locating and analyzing a total of 32 important and relevant materials published or elaborated since 2012 to 2017. After identifying the theoretical approaches on the plot ofthe article, it is concluded that, from a critical position, the production ofknowledge in the training of teacher, as they have the community educational practice as one oftheir sources, it should offer future professionals opportunities for learning that can allow them answer to context problems ofthe investigation, for that it is required to elucidate and to propose how to achieve it, thatmeans which assessment processes and strategies ofaction can be used.
