Abstract

MITA ARANCIBIA, Erick Gregorio. Need for a management model for the careers of the University of San Francisco Xavier de Chuquisaca: brief approach to the state of the art. Rev. Cient. Mult. Adas [online]. 2015, vol.6, n.3, pp. 98-105. ISSN 2309-3153.

In this article some research and studies related to the importance of university management and its current context was analyzed succinctly; the needs and challenges in the knowledge society; trends and management guidelines should be incorporated; systemic approach to the study of university degrees; and an approach to the proposed models. To this end have been revised mainly primary information sources, examining works by local authors, Latin Americans and Europeans. That review enabled a better understanding of the process conceptualization and management in universities; and allowed the identification of management practices and applied models, something that will contribute at a later stage to the University San Francisco Xavier de Chuquisaca, an institution that becomes a reference in higher education in Bolivia, whose problems demands the development and implementation of a management model for university courses, which have a holistic and take into account the characteristics of human resources, working environment, probable resistance to change, local and national socioeconomic context, among others.
