Abstract

BETANCOURT GARCIA, Ana Cristina. Social demand of posgradual training for productive economic development of Department of Chuquisaca. Rev. Cient. Mult. Adas [online]. 2015, vol.6, n.3, pp. 65-76. ISSN 2309-3153.

This research arises from the need to expand and strengthen the link between university and society, by means from the formulation of suitable and relevant educational proposals, pertinent to the development needs. The objective of this research is to identify the social demands embodied in the Development Plans of the four regions that form the Department of Chuquisaca, applying a model of qualitative research, through hermeneutics, to understand social demands with a holistic perspective, from the reference frame from which they emerge. While some of the program guidelines have already been covered in programs developed by the Centre of Postgraduate Studies and Research, University San Francisco Xavier de Chuquisaca (USFX), greater diversity of approaches and degrees of depth in them are required. This research concludes that USFX is recognized as a strategic partner of economic and productive sectors, insofar as the university responds to the social demands, ensuring a greater coordination with productive and economic actors, either private or communal.
