    The productivity of the beef farmers in Bolivia is limited due to different causes; one is the low genetic potential of the cattle to become adapted to different environments. In that situation, the animals cannot express their genetic potential. The bovine herds in Bolivia are generally crossbreed cattle between taurine and cebuine cattle imported recently and the Creollo cattle that came 500 years ago. These cattle was crossbreed without any objective therefore an undefined genotype with great variation in productivity is the general cattle of Bolivia. The cattle of the southern part of Cochabamba (Pasorapa) becomes an important reservoir of Creollo cattle, is well adapted and plays an important part in the economy of the farmers of that area. The cattle of Pasorapa presents a great variability of colors, morphological and production and represents the original cattle introduced by the Spaniards. 307 animals belonging to eight communities with Creollo characteristics were selected and the following variables were collected: etológicas, fisiozootecnicas, faneropticas, morfoestructurales y zoometricas. A posterior study used 56 animals for a genetic characterization of the Creollo cattle. The research was performed in laboratories of the Faculties of Veterinary Science of the Gabriel Rene Moreno University and The University of La Plata - Argentine. The results of the present study were important because due to that analysis scientific data were collected in order to determine that the Creollo cattle is a very important zoo genetic resource for Bolivia. The molecular analysis show a great variability the Creollo cattle of Pasorapa and the analysis demonstrated that this cattle has differences with other biotypes of Creollo cattle like the Yacumeño, and the Saavedreño Creollo cattle. This point makes that the conservation of the Pasorapa cattle becomes even more important. In concrete the results of this research indicates that the Creollo cattle of Pasorapa presents a genetic difference compared to other Creollo cattle and due to that reason is important the conservation and improve this unique genetic resource in Bolivia.
