GONZALES, Yber; CAMPERO, Juan Pablo e MERCADO, Hans. Evaluación del rendimiento agrícola e industrial de doce variedades de Caña de Azúcar en el Municipio de Minero, en tres cosechas consecutivas, sembradas a secano, suelo arenoso y fertilidad baja. Info INIAF [online]. 2016, vol.1, n.7, pp. 40-46. ISSN 2308-250X.
A comparative trial was established at "Municipio de Minero" in the Department of Santa Cruz with the purpose of evaluating the behavior of 12 sugar cane varieties. The varieties were UCG 90-20, UCG 96-10, UCG 77-53, RBB 77-26, RB 72-454, NA 56-26, SP 81-3250, SP 70-1143, RB 85-5002, NA 97-003, IRBP 95-01 and CITTCA 85-22 (check variety), which were grown under conditions of sandy soil, low fertility and without irrigation supply. A completely randomized bock design (BCA) with three replications was used, the experimental units were made up of plots of 45 m2 (3 rows of 10 meters long and 1,5 meters inter-rows), with 14 to 16 buds per lineal meter. Tons of cane per hectare (TCH) and tons of sugar per hectare (TAH) were evaluated at leaf cane, ratoon 1 and ratoon 2. After these three cycles of evaluation, the variety RB 72-454 yielded the highest for TCH and TAH showing itself as the most promising variety for the soil conditions of the area. The varieties SP 70-1143, RBB 77-26 and NA 56-26 made up an interesting option, considering that the TAH of the three Periods (harvests), high-yielded the check variety although they had less yield in TCH respect to the check variety.
