    Resumen

HUANCA, Nancy; BUTRON, Roberto; MARZA, Félix  y  QUISPE, Félix. Estimación de la variabilidad fenotípica de trigo harinero para componentes de productividad. Info INIAF [online]. 2015, vol.1, n.6, pp. 77-83. ISSN 2308-250X.

In order to determine the phenotypic variability of 208 advanced lines of bread wheat a study was established based on the 32 SAWSN nursery introduced from CIMMYT by the National Wheat Program of INIAF. The essay was sat on in San Benito Experimental Station under row by entry methodology at seeding rate of 100 kg*ha-1. Ten quantitative and qualitative variables (plant height, spike length, density of the spike, grain type, grain size, number of grains per spike, number of spikes per square meter, thousand kernel weight, test weight and grain yield were registered). For the data analysis, descriptive statistics, simple correlation, principal component and conglomerates through hierarchical clustering technique was used. High correlations were identified between yield and spike length, number of grains per spike, plant height and thousand kernel weight. The lines identified as: L53, L102, L112, L131, L129, L51, L143 and L203 were identified as most promising ones. Protruding genotypes for grain characteristics and quality were the lines: L205, L98, L108, L84, L106, L204 and L1. Associated variables were confirmed as the major components identified by the correlation matrix. Considering the significance of each variable and line is possible to obtain great advantages to reinforce the variability for the INIAF wheat breeding program.
