The selection of wheat genotypes with high potential in terms of yield performance is one of the important features to evaluate for productivity. Therefore, the objective of this study was to known the association of agronomic traits and yield components in 304 wheat genotypes. In breeding it is important to identify the relationship between agronomic traits and yield components. The study was conducted during the 2014-2015 crop season and it was carried out in the San Benito Experimental Station, property of the local government of Cochabamba. The wheat lines belong to the International Bread Wheat Screening Nursery (47 IBWSN) introduced from International Center for Maize and Wheat Improvement (CIMMyT). Each line was sowed in a row of 4 m long and 0.25 m between rows. In the study was found significant positive correlation between grain yield and traits like thousand kernel weight, number of grains per spike, number of spikes per square meter, spike length and plant height. The path coefficient analysis identified three variables as components of yield and considered as direct effects.
