In 2010, Foundation PROINPA, Pairumani Plant Ecogenetic Research Center, Oruro Technical University (UTO) and Major San Simon University (UMSS) transferred to the National Institute of Agriculture and Forestry Innovation (INIAF) the management of the Genetic Resources of the country, and along with that information in databases (in MS Excel© and MS Access© formats). In that sense, in order to continue to conserve Genetic Resources, INIAF requires to implement an information management system. From literature reviews, previous experiences on the management of germplasm banks, and INIAF's guidelines and requirements, a plan was generated through a flow, where the database per se should provide summary information to help make decisions on activities necessary for the management of Genetic Resources by INIAF. The flow contains areas of Conservation, Documentation, Use Promotion, and Research. Within these, are contained other activities and thus a number of variables, all related through the Accesion Code for each Germplasm Bank. In order to exemplify this flow, Microsoft Excel© was used, in order to visualize activity relationships and variables therein, using the codificación of the accessions, for the use of the personnel responsible of every Germplasm Bank.
