The objective of this work was to perform virus elimination and production of pre-basic seed potato of 5 native landraces prioritized based on their social, cultural and commercial importance (Laram Pala, Yana Imilla, Sani Imilla Negra, Azul Luki, Pinta Boca). The process of virus elimination (thermotherapy and meristem culture) was successful in the 5 prioritized landraces for 7 viral species (PVX, PVY, PLRV, PVS, APMV, APLV and PVA). In the process of producing pre-basic seed potato, 5 calibers of tubers were obtained (II-VI) and a yield that ranged from 4.4 Kg•m^-2 to 6.1 Kg•m^-2, depending on the landrace. The number of tubers obtained also varied as a function of the landrace between 313 tubers•m^-2 y 882 tubers•m^-2. It is necessary to deepen the present study through a measurement of the viral incidence before and after the process of virus elimination and making a comparison with improved Bolivian cultivars.
