    Resumen

ALANOCA QUISPE, Carolina; LOPEZ TOLA, Amalia  y  FLORES, Abrahan. Caracterización varietal de ecotipos de Quinua Real (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) para el Registro Nacional de Variedades. Info INIAF [online]. 2013, vol.1, n.2, pp. 15-21. ISSN 2308-250X.

In the present study, the characterization of 9 Royal Quinoa landraces of economic importance for the producer of the municipality of Salinas de Garci Mendoza in the Department of Oruro was performed. The purpose of the characterization was to initiate the register of the landraces as Royal Quinoa cultivars in the National Cultivar Registry so that they can be subjected to the process of seed Certificación. The evaluations were performed in the campaign 2012-2013, considering 10 plants per landrace. The varietal description was performed with quinoa varieties descriptor (Form RE-02) of the National Seed Registry used by the Instituto Nacional de Innovación Agropecuaria y Forestal (INIAF) and with descriptors for quinoa published by Bioversity International. The statistical analysis to which the basic data matrix was subjected to was descriptive statistics and multivariate analysis (Component Principal Analysis and Hierarchical Cluster Analysis with the Ward method and the squared Euclidean distance). The preliminary analysis allowed observing the relationships among variables and the grouping of the landraces of Royal Quinoa, according to the quantitative variables more correlated with the first principal component (λ1=57.32%) and with the second principal component (λ2 = 15.2%). Moreover, the cluster analysis allowed grouping the landraces in three groups.
