Abstract
PAREDES, S.B and ZONTA, A. Initial development of Cupuazú plants (Theobroma grandiflorum) with soil acidity correction and mycorrhizal application. Rev.Cient.Agro.Amaz. [online]. 2015, n.5, pp. 23-28. ISSN 2307-9606.
The cupuazú (Theobroma grandiflorum) is an Amazonian tree of commercial interest, the fruits are appreciated in the area and they are eaten fresh. In the other hand, mycorrhizae are symbiotic mutualistic associations that occur between a plant roots and specific fungi. Then, the research objective was to evaluate the cupuazú plants development with mycorrhizae (15 g/plant) and soil acidity correction: A (witness), B (5 g cal/plant) and C (10 g cal/plant), in a nursery in Riberalta, Bolivia. Sixteen plants per treatment were selected by random. After six months of the mycorrhizal application, the length of roots and stems, also diameter neck stem were measured. Total of 48 plants were sampled. Results showed significant differences between some treatments, therefore the soil acidity correction and mycorrhizal application improve partially the length of roots, stems and diameter neck of cupuazú plants
