    Abstract

YUNOKI, T.; LIZARRO, D.  and  FLORES, F.. MONITOREO DE LA CAPTURA MEDIANTE PESQUERÍA COMERCIAL EN EL MAMORÉ CENTRAL, PROVINCIAS MARBAN, MOXOS, CERCADO (BENI-BOLIVIA). Rev.Cient.Agro.Amaz. [online]. 2014, n.4, pp. 1-10. ISSN 2307-9606.

The assessment of commercial fishery in the Central Mamoré (Bolivian Amazon) was done during May to November 2013. The catch per trip was determined by two factors, ice consumption and destination. The fishery fleet that consume less than 500 kg of ice per trip (Category 1) and more than 500 kg (Category 2) were significant different. The fleet of Category 1 operated exclusively in the central area, while Category 2 in all the areas. The Pacú size frequency data (Colossoma macropomum) were obtained from Category 2 and suggests the establishment of size limit on the standard length. The results were extrapolated regarding the fishery fleet record, indicated by the Servicio Departamental Agropecuario del Beni based on trip frecuencies. The estimated total catch was 207 tons and the Pacú catch was 13 tons with 2210 specimens during the period of study.

Keywords : Colossoma macropomum; size frequency; capture factor.
