Abstract

The aim of the present research work was to determine resistance of Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) ticks to ixodicides in dairy farms of bovine animals in Cercado Province, Department of Beni, Bolivia. Twenty five farms were visited and ticks were collected for a in vitro test. Resistance was evaluated through larval immersion test for Amitrazin and adults ticks test for Cypermetrine, then all data were analyzed by ANOVA. It was found resistance (p<0,05) to Cypermetrine in 92% of the farms. For the other hand, resistance for Amitrazin is reported only in 4% of all the farms evaluated.
