Abstract
LIZARRO, D.; CHOLIMA, B.R. and TORRES, V.L.. Lista preliminar de peces en los Rios Orthon, Manuripi y Tahuamanu, Pando, Bolivia, 2014. Rev.Cient.Agro.Amaz. [online]. 2014, n.3, pp. 7-16. ISSN 2307-9606.
This is a partial list of fish species from the expedition to the rivers Manuripi, Orthon and Tahuamanu, all belonging to the Orthon river basin, northern region of Pando, Bolivia. These results indicate that the fish diversity in the rivers is composed of 206 species belonging to 28 families y 7 orders, where Characiformes and Siluriformes showed to be the most abundant. Manuripi river reported the greater species richness (162 species), possibly due to it is within a protected area. The number of species indicated in this inventory suggests that the fish diversity of these rivers is still underestimated and that it could increase with a detailed review of some individuals to contribute to the knowledge of the fish life of the Bolivian Amazon Northern.
