ABSTRACT To determine parasitic load of ixodides in bovines of dairy farms in Cercado Province, Department of Beni, Bolivia, 45 farms were visited and 340 bovines sampled, from August to December 2009. Ticks were collected, identified and counted. Data were analyzed by ANOVA to determine parasitic load. Then, in orderto assess the prevalence and the susceptibility of breed, sex and age of the cattle, Chi square tests were performed. Significant statistical difference was found (p<0.05) for parasitic load between cattle coming from the five studied regions, also the susceptibility between diferente livestock breeds (p<0.05).
