ABSTRACT In vitro larvicide effect of native grass extract in Boophilus microplus (Canestrini 1888) ticks was determined. Ticks were random collected from bovines and artificially reproduced in the Pharmacology Laboratory of Animal Sciences Faculty, Universidad Autónoma del Beni. Larvae were placed to the in vitro action of three native grass extracts, Leersia hexandra (Arrocillo), Paspalum virgatum (Paja Toruna) y Paspalum laxum (Pasto de Bajío). Larval immersion test was made. The results showed a 100% larvicide effect of P. laxum, 98.5% L. hexandra and 98% P. virgatum, compared with the witness group of 59% larvae mortality (P<0,05). Finally, it was
