A study was developed to study the learning styles of the students in Informatics career and implement academic activities aimed at solving the identified problema, The CHAEA method was used for the evaluation of learning 'styles. In order to verify the improvement of academic performance CHAEA method, associated with VARK and socioeconomic study of students participating in the classes of Telematics. The results allowed to establish risk groups and instructional strategies that improve student achievement.
