JIJENA MICHEL, Robert Daniel e JIJENA MICHEL, Carlos Eduardo. The moderating role of work schedule flexibility on teacher's job satisfaction: an application of the structural equation method. Rev. Vent. Cient. [online]. 2014, vol.1, n.7, pp. 20-29. ISSN 2305-6010.
The purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between autonomy and feedback with respect to teacher's Job satisfaction, as well as the moderating effect of work schedule flexibility on these relationships. Data were collected through surveys applied to university professors in the Faculty of Economics and Financial Sciences at Juan Misael Saracho Autonomous University. The research model was tested using the Structural Equation Model (SEM). Results indícate that both, autonomy and feedback are positively related to Job satisfaction. In addition, work schedule flexibility does not affect the relationship between autonomy and Job satisfaction, but it has a negative moderating effect on the relationship between feedback and Job satisfaction. These results could be important inputs in designing and implementing human resources policies and flexible working practices, in order to improve Job satisfaction of teachers and their contribution to the optimal performance of the organization.
