    Resumo

    The taeniasis-cysticercosis complex is a public health problem that is prevalent in both urban and rural areas, which is associated with traditional practices of raising pigs, bad sanitation and hygiene, ignorance and poverty, all intrinsically linked since each one of the stages of the parasite life cycle human activities are involved in reproduction. The intermediate host of Taenia solium is the pork, but the man eventually be affected by the parasite's eggs, these eggs will generate the larval stages of the parasite that are going to be responsible for human cysticercosis, the control of this depends on the development sociocultural and economics of communities, infrastructure measures for environmental and healt services. This work has been done in San Luis' area Tarija Department, as this area does not meet basic standards of environmental sanitation, such as sewer installation, thus causing water pollution, which are used for daily consumption and irrigation of vegetables, factors predisposing to an increased likelihood of transmission of taenoasis / cysticercosis. The school implemented the project in 5-12 years in three schools that have the neighborhood in which we analyzed 655 fecal samples, 450 samples positive finding confirming a high prevalence of parasitosis, in this area despite the periodic deworming done the Sites. We found 18 positive cases Teniasis corroborating the objective of this study, which was performed in the respective treatment and subsequent control. It could also highlight the lack of preventive hygiene standards of this disease by the inhabitants of San Luis.
