The Guarani language as a native language is lost, and it is generally kept alive only by the older generation. The struggle now is the recovery of the language for future generations. The intra - intercultural, and multilingual education in the formal education system is the option to do that. The testimonies of the subjugation of a whole group of people, and the abandonment of the Guarani language are overwhelming. Because of CEPOG's role as a national institution added to the local efforts of the authorities, a process of discussion about the importance of standardizing the Guarani language writing is kept on debate. Thus, it seems important to work together scholars and teachers as "owners of the knowledge" of the Guaraní people. The analysis of Guarani traditional folktales shows a narrative and traditional core apart from narrative innovations as a result of the last half century. All this is built as part of the effort to reclaim the language and identity of the Guarani people of Yaku-Igua.
