ORTIZ VASQUEZ, Solange Daniela  e  LARREA MAMANI, Alejandra Paola. Morfología de Diplococos Tetradas y Sardinas. Rev. Act. Clin. Med [online]. 2014, vol.49, pp. 2614-2618. ISSN 2304-3768.

Bacterial organisms are prokaryotic cells are classified morphologically: Coccus, bacilli and vibrios espiriles, because of the shape having a cell wall composed of peptidoglycan and can be provided with a flagellum to achieve the required mobility. Bacteria cocci types are classified according to how they are grouped: if they are unique are micrococci, if they are in pairs are called diplococci, tetrads when in a four, sarcinas cocci if you hold a cubic shape, streptococci when a string and staphylococci evidenced if displayed in clusters. Among the highlights mainly diplococci bacteria Neisseria gonorrhoeae is responsible for gonorrhea and meningitides. Nesisseria, principal agent of bacterial meningitis can cause epidemic disease in a population. Moraxella catarrhalis is another gram-negative diplococcus that is found in the normal microbial flora but sometimes can become pathogenic and cause bronchopulmonary disorders. The type of sarcinas are characterized by obligate anaerobes and that can develop in environments with very acidic pH in Sarcina ventriculi this group stands out because it has a fibrous layer that provides the ability to stay attached and retain their characteristic shape.
