The introduction of cosmetic surgery for dental restoration has brought significant changes in the field of dentistry. That's why, in this article is to review the literature on dental implants for aesthetic porcelain crowns and acrylic. Current aesthetic restorative implantology, is linked to the use of implants that will replace the tooth root that is absent, this development has been successful since the discovery of titanium as implant material, with this material we could reached osteointegration (implant-socket) and a good biocompatibility with the body; further more it has a unique and specific clinical case design. It is interesting to know that there are subperiosteal implants, and for pterygoid, zygomatic and endosteal use; each implant must have a particular surgical technique to be brought into the oral cavity. The complications are those that warn failures, since a number of factors like biological, mechanical, mal adjustment of the patient, or be iatrogenic; therefore a good diagnosis supported by additional tests are necessary for the implementation of a dental implant
