ABSTRACT While alterations in the shape of the ears are not a significant percentage of cases, it is common to find people who are unhappy with the appearance of these bodies, so they resort to surgical procedures to improve their appearance and self-esteem society in which they operate. Thus the cosmetic ear surgery has taken an important step in improving injury resulting from burns, trauma, genetic disorders or simply aesthetic, helping patients to a higher quality social recognition. Currently there are treatments to improve the aesthetics of the ears using surgery: reconstructive and implant, depending on the need of the patient, as well as innovative procedures where living cells are manipulated through the use of 3D printers, which replicate the very fineness appearance of a human ear, allowing its aesthetic implant in the person that needs it. For this purpose the specialist will have a profound knowledge of anatomy, surgical and aesthetic character of the ears.
