    ABSTRACT Anaphylaxis is a hypersensitivity reaction that affects anyone regardless of age, gender or race. Its reaction occurs by binding of an antigen with an antibody of IgE type, which triggers the excessive release of inflammatory mediators such as           histamine,prostaglandins leukotrienes etc. , through leukocyte cells , mast cells and basophils . The prevalence of this condition is greater in adults, because of the use of certain drugs such as antibiotics, or diseases such as mastocytosis and biting insects like bees or dragonflies; sometimes also occurs by eating certain foods such as nuts, fish, shellfish and even the egg, but this is often seen in children. Diagnosis and treatment should be performed quickly by the urgent need of attention, so that the signs and symptoms should be carefully noted that this patient, the most common being edema and pruritus cutaneous level and in most cases seriousness by bronchoconstriction or glottis edema making it difficult patient breathing occurs.
