ABSTRACT Microorganisms are living bodies that are so small, that can only be seen through a microscope, having been first identified in the mid- seventeenth century with the use of a simple microscope. These uni or multicellular organisms, are eukaryotic or prokaryotic specifically studied by a branch of biological science is microbiology. Formerly these organisms were included in various classifications of living things , being initially included in the animal kingdom , then in the plant kingdom , but some microorganisms' characteristics belonging to both kingdoms , making it difficult ranking. Bacteria, and eukarya bows: Currently the system proposed by Woese in 1978, which includes three main domains that are accepted. Microorganisms are classified into four groups: bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites; each of these groups has different aspects in their relationship, structure, morphology, nutrition and reproduction. But according to certain characteristics such as immunity, the environment in which they operate either inside or outside the cell, possessing resistance to germinicidas agents, temperature and the degree of risk that these organisms exist other forms submitted classification.
