Poison is called every toxic substance capable of producing chemical, metabolic and functional changes in a given organism, whose origin can be vegetable,animal, mineral or artificial. Animal and vegetable poisons have active ingredients such as bradykinin, serotonin, histamine, saponins, phytotoxins, tetrodoxinas , etc . , Which may act differently from one individual to another, but their reactions can cause disorders and diseases whose manifestations range from rash, itching, blisters, dizziness or nausea to muscle weakness, seizures, anaphylactic shock, respiratory, renal, hepatic and cardiac abnormalities that can lead to death of the affected individual. The various toxic substances can enter the body by topical, inhalation, parenteral and entera routs. According to the route of entry, the toxic effect will be faster or slower and thus, along with the exposure time may predict the degree of lethality of the venom. In some cases the poisoning may be by a simple oversight as some poisons are found in plants that commonly they can be considered harmless and so do animals or insects that are not given much importance or not known toxicity.
