    Resumen

ALIMENTACIÓN FETAL. Rev. Act. Clin. Med [online]. 2014, vol.42, pp. 2238-2242. ISSN 2304-3768.

ABSTRACT Since the beginning of fértilization, a series of genetic reactions occur scheduled for the start of feeding and growth of a new human being. This becomes in turn influenced by maternal nutritional status, maternal hormone levéis - fetal, placental and the possible presence of toxic factors. The proper development of the membranes and organs to meet the physiological needs of the fetus occurs during the first three months of pregnancy, so the maternal care during the development of this stage is important. The organs responsible for fulfilling this task are: placenta, umbilical cord, amniotic cavity and amniotic fluid. However primary nutrition of the embryo does not come initially through these organs, because there are three phases of nutrition during pregnancy from the moment of fertilization: histiotrophic phase, histiotrophic - placental phase and placental phase. Each of the stages of embryonic nutrition is carefully organized and determined for each stage of pregnancy, from the beginning of conception to the completion of the pregnancy with the birth of new being.
