GUEVARA, Exequiel and MORALES, Camilo. Proposal of a brief cognitive battery to assess older adults with motor problems. Revista de Psicologia [online]. 2018, n.20, pp. 111-118. ISSN 2223-3032.
The neuropsychological assessment is characterized by trying, through different instruments, to make an approximation in relation to the real cognitive performance and the possible brain affectation that a person could present. Although there is a wide range of evaluation tests, the vast majority must perform a motor task, which alters the sensitivity and specificity of the same when trying to evaluate an individual with motor problems, whether they are typical of old age, or originated by some neurological disease. The objective of the present review is to propose a brief cognitive battery based on evidence to evaluate older adults who have motor problems, in which it is not necessaryforthe elderlyto perform ataskwith his limbs. It is proposed, based on the above, a battery consisting on Phototest, verbal fluency tests and Pfeiffertest.
