GARCIA RODRIGUEZ, Carmiña e MARTINEZ MALDONADO, Ivon. VENTAJAS DEL MÉTODO DE QUIMIOLUMINISCENCIA FRENTE AL DE RADIOINMUNOANÁLISIS (RIA). Vis cienti. [online]. 2009, vol.1, n.2, pp. 60-68. ISSN 2222-4361.
At the moment automated systems have been developed to make different laboratoriales determinations. The requirements basically try to lower the price of costs, efficiency and quality of results. Thus the use of Immunoassay based on the method of Quimioluminiscencia (emission of light associated with the energy), is without a doubt a technology with important advantages, where its execution does not require of the labelled with radioactive isotopes. The perspective is to have technology of vanguard, that uses simpler immunological determinations, with the security in the determination and that it admits to make different determinations from almost all the areas of the Clinical Laboratory such as: Endocrinology, Immunology, Virology, Epidemiology, Hematology, Clinical Biochemistry, etc. Chemiluminescente reading method is based on the principle of luminous emission through a reaction (Enzyme-Substrate). The research laboratories that have developed these tests of chemiluminescente have demonstrated the excellent correlation with the reference tests, like automated and the Radioimmunoassay, where they find precision, low reactivity crossed, the great analytical sensitivity on the order of ten times more sensible than most of the tests of nowadays. Most of the tests are determined in approximately 30 minutes to one hour. This method has a great specificity and sensitivity since a reaction can be determined antigen-antibody of the order of the picogram and with a minimum of denaturation. In this bibliographical revision were the advantages of the new method of chemiluminescente in comparison with the RIA in order to give one more an option to the biochemist to make tests of immunoassay
