Summary. We reviewed the clinical and pathological features of 122 cases of carcinoma of gallbladder treated at the IGBJ La Paz. They represent2.5% of total surgeries (4789 cases) of the gallbladder performed in that hospital over a period of 33 years (1978-2011). Results are discussed in relation to medical literature published, with particular emphasis on the high incidence of this malignancy in our midst. It also raises the valué of early cholecystectomy in people considered high risk, women would be represented by oak fifth decade of life concerned with history of biliary litiasis, the benefit of a uniform classification of planning stages for better treatment in each case and get an idea of the prognosis.
