    Abstract

MOLLINEDO ZURITA, Luis  and  SALAS CASADO, Antonio. Design of a portable electronic sensor to measure vibrations in the vibrating table of gravimetric concentration. Rev. Met. UTO [online]. 2015, n.36, pp. 26-36. ISSN 2078-5593.

This paper shows the design and construction of the "Portable Electronic Sensor" (SEP), which is wireless and cheap. It can be used for measurement of vibration in vibrating tables of gravimetric concentration in real time and for determinaron of their real technical condition by a predictive maintenance plan. The SEP was tested performing measurements on vibrating tables of gravimetric concentration in "Ingenio Santa Elena" (Empresa Minera Huanuni) and in the Concentration Laboratory of "Carrera de Ingeniería Metalúrgica y Ciencia de Materiales". The results express that the SEP is ideal for the determination of the technical condition of the equipment by the analysis of the diagrams e-t, v-t, a-t and the frequency of the vibration of the gravimetric concentration table, in the axes: X (cross), Y (longitudinal) and Z (vertical). The application of a predictive maintenance plan allows the analysis of the state of a machine, the determination of the necessary steps to correct the condition of vibration and the reduction of the level of unwanted and unnecessary vibratory forces. It also allows the identification of the predominant amplitudes of vibration, the determination of the causes and the correction of the problem which they represent.
