Salmonellosis is a sistemic disease caused by the bacterium Salmonella sp. which is acquired through consumption of contaminated food or water. It may cause different clinical manifestations such as gastroenteritis, bacteriemias, focal infections and chronic carrier state. The well known clinical manifestations for doctors have changed in endemic regions so the evaluation involves not only a challenge for diagnosis but also an increased possibility of complications. The aim of this publication is to report three cases of patients with extraintestinal focal infections, one with septic arthritis, one with hepatitis and one with myocarditis caused by Salmonella sp.
