A case of transverse vaginal septum is described in a 12 year-old girl, remitted of an outlying hospital of the city, refers primary amenorrhea. Interned in the Hospital Maternal Infantile “German Urquidi”, once made the diagnosis of the anomaly, intervenes surgically according to the operation described by Warton. The pursuit is achieved until 3 months of the postoperative one. The transverse vaginal septum is one of the strangest anomalies in the reproductive tract. Differential diagnosis should be carried out with the hymen imperforate and the vaginal agenesis. The evaluation preoperative includes abdominal ecographic, transperineal and transrectal. This type of patient need long term pursuit.
